He was resting halfway up the hill. His radio was blaring “I Did It My Way” by Sinatra. I thought the scene was pretty cute so I snapped this from across the street. I decided to drive across to get a closer shot, but his stubbled face looked like a sad old circus clown. I couldn’t bring myself to do it. It seemed too invasive. Then, a kind lady walked up to him and asked him if he was alright. I re-learned something about compassion today. It’s something about stepping out of our own world and touching those in need.
